Bicyclist Seriously Hurt, Airlifted On Jersey Shore (Developing)

A bicyclist had to be airlifted from a crash scene on the Jersey Shore, according to developing and unconfirmed reports.

The juvenile purportedly fell off his bike, causing serious injuries, at about 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 21 on the 1700 block of Union Ave. in Hazlet, initial reports said.

It was unclear if a vehicle was involved in the crash.

A medical helicopter was called to take the victim to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, reports said.
